Still unsure about what you are going to do this Labor Day weekend? You have come to the right spot! I have rounded up my top things going on in DFW so you will have plenty to choose from! For my mental health, a 3-day weekend is a DREAM! I find that if I am so busy on the weekend, I come back to work exhausted and struggling to get through. So, it definitely gives me time to have down time and socialize! Otherwise, I will be out with a migraine in no time at all! I am really learning to pace myself, even on the weekend, and unfortunately that means saying no a lot. I must make sure I don’t have anything too big in the upcoming week to make sure I will have a healthy balance.
Here are some FUN things to do as summer comes to a close!
Summer Send-Off Pool Party at The Adolphus!! – my friend Rhonda Jenkins is co-hosting the Labor Day Party at the Adolphus from 12-5pm on Sunday! It’s $35, food and beverage credit and complimentary parking!! CRAZY GOOD DEAL! And, their drinks are delicious! If you haven’t seen their rooftop pool – you must! Tickets here.
Granbury Lake Fest – September 1-3! If you haven’t been to Granbury, its SO cute & has a lot of fun things to do! There will be extended hours at the shops on the square (including major sales!), city beach activities, and a light boat parade on Sunday evening at 8:00pm! More information found here.
Summer Sundaze - Hosted by Social Revolt at the WET deck (The W Hotel): The W seems to be the place for all the pool parties this summer! You will have two chances before summer ends to see what its all about – Sunday and Monday! Tickets are just $20! Purchase tickets here.
Lake Ray Hubbard / Lake Lewisville – what better way to end summer than by the lake? There are SO many rental companies, and it’s going to be a great weekend to celebrate! Pack some food, rent a boat and party it up with friends and family!
Little Elm Beach – If you can’t go to a “real” beach, might as well go to this one! It’s perfect for the kids! There is a playground, athletic fields, sand volleyball, picnic area and hiking/biking trails! It is only $10 per vehicle to park on the weekends, so take advantage of this great deal! More information can be found here.
Dino Fest at the Perot Museum – September 1-2! PERFECT for families & kids! A celebration of all things dinosaur! Meet Museum paleontologists and get a first look at the new Paleo Lab, take in a paleo talk in the Beer Garden, enjoy micro tours of the exhibits, dinosaur trivia, and special workshops, and even meet modern-day dinosaurs. Plus, you're invited to wear your favorite dinosaur gear or costume to get in the spirit! Purchase your tickets here.
Cookout/Pool/College Football – my personal favorite! I would much rather relax, and that means hang outside by the pool and watch football! It’s the first weekend for college football, and you better believe I will be watching!!
Hopefully, you will find something on here that will peak your interest. I hope everyone has a relaxing Labor Day!!
Xoxo,
